Farmers Market Details, Vendors, and Tips & Tricks
The Burbank Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It’s located at the corner of Olive Avenue and Glen Oaks Boulevard, in the Community Services building parking lot.
Free parking is available near the venue, including a small lot on-site. Nearby parking is also an option at the Fire Station lot and the City Hall parking lot. You can also street park.
The freshest locally-grown produce is offered at the farmers market, including organic selections. Examples include organic stone fruits, apples, oranges, and jam from Island Farms; grass-fed beef and lamb from Autonomy Farms; honey and honeycomb from Bill’s Bees; and seasonal organic veggies, tomatoes, lettuces, and strawberries from Givens Ranch.
From various vendors, you’ll also find fresh flowers, Asian vegetables, fruit trees for planting, free-range eggs, fresh berries, sweet peaches, and more.
Don’t forget salsas, raw juices, fresh seafood, artisan bread, and more where that came from.
Tips & Tricks
The local farmers market recommends a few strategies for getting the most out of a visit.
For instance, to get your pick of the best produce, arrive early (but no earlier than 7:45 a.m.). Bring your own reusable bags to carry off your haul, and bring cash, as most vendors are cash-only.
Additionally, remember that bartering or haggling for prices is considered poor etiquette at this type of market.
